Vansleep - Acid Weather

Updated: Apr 4, 2020

Hailing from the coastal city of Aberdeen, this indie 4-piece are no strangers to the Scottish music scene, with a host of singles and support slots with some of the fastest-rising bands like The Dunts, Vistas and Retro Video Club, to name just a few.

However, Vansleep fans have had to wait almost a year for new material, following 2019’s ‘The Way That You Move’ - and we can happily confirm latest single ‘Acid Weather’ was well worth the wait.

The lead single from their eagerly anticipated debut EP due out later this year, see's the young band continue to grow with a more mature sound. This strong, uplifting anthem is an expansive musical trip with nods to recent indie big hitters like ‘The Hunna’ and ‘The Night Cafe’. Exploring themes of hopelessness and finding that somebody you can confide in when life gets too much, a pertinent message we can all relate to at the moment.

A track sure to go down a storm with their current fanbase, but crucially a track with it’s arms wide, ready to embrace indie-fans across the UK. - DC

With no gigs on the horizon, please do what you can do support local bands, whether it be buying merch, music or just streaming the hell out of their tracks. Once gigs are back on the table, get filling those venues!
