After the success of last years Show Me the Light EP, Glasgow indie-rockers, The Trend, have spent most of 2018 locked up in the studio working on an eagerly anticipated follow up.
Brace yourself, the boys are back and it was worth the wait! Not satisfied with just one new track, they've spoiled us with a terrific double release.

Recorded at Chem19 Studios in Blantyre (Mogwai, Twilight Sad), the first track Can Tanner sees The Trend kick off with an epic intro, sparking relentless energy for the duration. Frontman, Ryan, takes charge of both music and lyrics duties while the rest of band settled on the name... an in-joke at Ryan's expense!
Despite limited commercial radio plays, The Trend have continued to build a dedicated following over the years, and as such they decided to get them involved. Once they settled on Can Tanner, the band asked their Twitter followers to send in photos of themselves, and thus the artwork was born.
On the flip-side of this double release is Thrillseeker, a track which showcases all The Trend have to offer, soaring choruses and some of the the most insane drumming (Josh) we've heard all year. Lead guitarist, Del, was the key mastermind behind this good-time anthem, supplying both the music and lyrics.
Hear the double release now, over on Spotify.
Londoners can catch The Trend on Friday night in Shoreditch at the Hoxton Bar & Grill.
