Paisley post-punkers SWAY have just dropped Haven, their biggest, most progressive single yet. Released via Glasgow-based indie label GOOD//CAREFUL, it sees the band take yet another massive stride, with their blend of new age shoe-gazing and power guitar riffs.
Despite already being a live favourite, Haven has now evolved and given a new lease of life with meticulous studio work. The tension is racked up throughout the 5mins, as a strong vocal performance by Milroy puts us through an emotional roller-coaster until David Roberts' pounding drum beat surges the melody to a crashing, but ultimately joyful, crescendo. You're exhausted but itching for that repeat button.
Crucially with each release, SWAY continue to keep the beating heart of the band a the centre of all they do, but with the addition of further layers, we're excited to see where they go next.
You can see a natural progression from early single To Be a Man, through to recent single Another Lover and now Haven.
Having come through several setbacks in the bands short life, the SWAY boys are more determined than ever and clearly armed with the talent to take their sound to the next level.
