Since bursting onto the live scene in late 2017, Glasgow 6-piece Slouch have wasted no time with a stream of singles throughout 2018 accumulating with their excellent debut Come What May EP.
Lead single Lucid Trap is the perfect gateway for new fans, with their familiar blend of energetic rhythms and spiky indie hooks. Vocalist, Paul Burnett, puts in an impressive shift as his raw voice weaves it's way through the tempo changes and melodic choruses. As the track builds into it's final third we hear a nod to indie heroes like Arctic Monkeys with pounding drums and a classic indie riff.
With a headline show at King Tut's and supporting slots with the likes of Twisted Wheel already in the bag, it's only a matter of time before the torch paper catches and Slouch are catapulted in to the indie mainstream.
