Time for a debut single! Here we have Glasgow's New Rebel Cult, a 4-piece punk-rock band ready to shake-up the current thriving scene. Consisting of David McMeeking (vocals/guitar), Matthew Buil (lead guitar), Sean Kerr (bass) and Gary Young (drums).

Together they've certainly put the hard graft in, with non-stop touring and honing their live shows since 2015, under various guises and lineups - it wasn't until they consolidated their lineup earlier this year that real progress was made.
Their punchy debut single Is This As Good As It Gets? was recorded at the birth of this punk movement, 7 West Studios, and produced by Chris Marshall and Johnny Madden (Baby Strange). You can hear their influence all over it, but on this occasion the pace has been pulled back slightly, to make way for a more melodic, but menacing vibe. Lyrically, the track touches on everyday issues like work, life and relationships, all made relatable with smart writing.
With the first release under their belt, we hope to see further NRC releases during the rest of 2018, with a big 2019 on the cards.
