Mark Sharp & The Bicycle Thieves - Firewater

Updated: Jul 17, 2018

While Mark Sharp was gathering a strong fan base across Scotland as a solo artist, it wasn't until he hooked up with his live band ‘The Bicycle Thieves’ that the heat turned up a notch - He hasn’t looked back since.

Following the well received Lost Cause EP late in 2017, we now get our first release of 2018, in the form of the anthemic Firewater. The West Lothian singer-songwriter takes a leap of faith with his latest track, aiming BIG as the pounding drums and synth intro generates an unlikely techno start which tantalisingly builds to a massive chorus.

It doesn’t disappoint, with soaring vocals matched with an infectious melody - it's got festival sunshine written all over it.

Firewater is another progression and another string to an ever-expanding Mark Sharp shaped bow. His real musical talent shines through as the track moves seamlessly between genres, pace and vocal range - and what a range he has!

The word is clearly spreading like wild fire, with a recent sold out King Tuts show in his back pocket - surely a goal for any aspiring artist - Mark Sharp & The Bicycle Thieves are set for a big second half of 2018 and beyond.
