Disclaimer [worst fan award]: Back in early 2016, i was reading about this new indie-pop outfit from Fife, intrigued i started listening to their Don't Stop EP and was hooked immediately. Noticing a free EP launch at the now defunct Electric Circus (gone but not forgotten) - I rounded the troops! Alas, i did not make this gig, nor any subsequent gigs due to DoT somehow planning gigs without consulting my availability first. Unbelievable.
During the arm-chair years I was constantly impressed by the ability of DoT to build upon each release from the early singles right up to current track Colour Me Good. It's a fresh slice of infectious pop, which we all come to expect from DoT, but this time with added layers, potentially pointing the boys in a slightly new musical direction with potential to open up a new group of fans yet to stumble upon the up-beat delights of Dancing on Tables. Signed to LV Music and with a healthy back catalogue it's surely not long until a full LP is unleashed!
Don't follow my lead, get out and see these guys live while they are still hitting up your local venues. For me, it'll start at Tenement trail...
Dancing on Tables will also be on the road during October, get out all live dates here!
