Beta Waves - Hideaway

The Dundee duo return with their first single of 2020, ‘Hideaway’, amidst all the fear and isolation, it’s 3mins of pure psychedelic-pop bliss fit to raise even the lowest of moods.

Back in 2019 when one could travel, Harry and Dale set out on a Spanish jaunt with photographer, Ben Douglas, which is not only reflected in the artwork, but also the fresh sounding, sea-breeze vibes oozing from Hideaway.

Starting with their typically dream-like intro, the track gently builds to their finest and most infectious chorus yet. The combination of Dale Easson’s dreamy vocals backed by the producing skills of Harry Crossan has been a winner for over 2 years now, but here we see Beta Waves take their sound to the next level with added punch, as they manage to pull so many of their long-term influences together such as Tame Impala and Pond.

Not just content with a new single, the boys have recently teamed up with Treb / Reality Club to raise some money for the Covid-19 wards within NHS Tayside with a remix of their 2019 single Ad Lib. Remix and donation page can be found here - DC

With no gigs on the horizon, please do what you can do support local bands, whether it be buying merch, music or just streaming the hell out of their tracks. Once gigs are back on the table, get filling those venues!
