The Ninth Wave - Used To Be Yours

While whipping up a storm Stateside at SXSW, The Ninth Wave dropped their latest single and announced exciting plans for a 2-part debut album. The second track to be taken from Part 1 'Used To Be Yours', sees the band take a step back from their usual soaring new wave sound to reveal a more understated side as bassist, Millie Kidd, takes over main vocals. Part 1 is due late April.

When: March 15th
Where: Edinburgh
If infectious synth-pop is your game, then LaKyoto are the band for you. A testament to Edinburgh's varied music scene, this upbeat-pop gem sees the 4-piece take another giant leap forward and gives us a glimpse into how 2019 is shaping up. It's gonna be HUGE.
Franky’s Evil Party - Paradise
When: March 15th
Where: Dumfries
After relentless touring in 2018, Cult D.I.Y favourites Franky's Evil Party are back with new track 'Paradise', it's refreshing to see a band buck the trend and release a 5-minute journey through a maze of genres. Strap yourself in for the ride, this is only the beginning. Catch them at this year's Wide Days 2019 & Stag and Dagger.
Sahara - Follow On
When: March 15th
Where: Dundee
Arriving with little fanfare, the Dundee duo's first release of 2019 is a 6-min epic and almost unrecognisable from their early material. The evolution of any band is inevitable and often welcomed, here we see Sahara take a more slow burning, fuzzy-guitar approach, but still with a familiar shoe-gazing feel. The seemingly more relaxed approach to reeases is clearly working for them!
We’ve added all six and more to our Mockit Music Spotify playlist, it’s updated weekly; Follow and never miss out on the best new music!
