Paris Street Rebels

19th July @ 13th Note, Glasgow

We're back from a short hiatus to catch the always ferocious Paris Street Rebels as they launched latest single 'Nightcrawler' at Glasgow's sweat-soaked basement club, 13th Note.

Travelling through in numbers from Ballingry, Fife, the Paris Street Rebels boys are in good spirits as they take the stage in their typically dapper attire.

Wasting no time, they launch straight into debut single 'Freakshow'. A great start as the feverous crowd let loose from the get go.

We've barely started, however, two songs in it's already getting extremely sweaty; the walls dripping, fringes on foreheads, and most importantly, the band are on fire.

As with any emerging bands, it's key to see progress and without doubt, since the first time we caught a glimpse of PSR last year, they've constantly evolved with each live show.

They go on to delight with the punk-infused sing alongs they've become known for, especially with recent single 'I Don't Wanna Die Young' which barely leaves anyone time for air, as every word is sang back with gusto.

However, now we finally get that breather, as they slow it down with another fan favourite and the set highlight for me, 'Kings of Balado'. You can see the crowd watch on in both excitement and nostalgia as the spoken word, delivered passionately by Grant Malcolm, resonates across the venue.

The boys have a set packed with songs to get a pint, have a jump about and sing til your hearts content. They finish the set with new single 'Nightcrawler' as they let rip one last time. Great set from the lads. Make no mistake, these four boys from Ballingry were born performers and look at ease on stage. - Graham Ryan

If you want to experience a great night of indie punk/rock get down to see Paris Street Rebels next time they're in town; you won't be disappointed.
