Attention: Bute are heading North!
Where: The Priory, Glasgow
When: Sat 28th September
The Cardiff-based indie rockers are gearing up for an Autumn tour, which fortunately includes a return to Glasgow after last year's This Feeling gig at Broadcast.
This time sees the band headline Club Sabbath - a legendary live music night aimed at providing a stage for the best new music - it's sure to be a memorable night!
Throughout 2019, Bute have released such a variety of tracks you’d often double-take to check it was the same band! A great trait for any artist, let alone one just starting.
While the foursome are still experimenting with different styles and genres, they keep a consistent core with big choruses and big attitudes, pointing to a big future.
Their latest offering, ‘Disappear’, is a prime example of Bute’s varied influences as the pulsating opening sets an eerie, almost other-worldly tone, before Luke WIlliam’s distant vocals adds to the atmospheric sound. The track is punctuated throughout with 90s synths beats, which act as an alarm, grabbing the listeners attention and not letting go until the final europhohic minute.
Prior to ‘Disappear’, Bute released an interesting and ambitious double release of ‘Fools/Lovers’, with the 6-minute epic ‘lovers’ arriving as a real game changer for the band, both in style and production.
We fully expect big-hitters like debut single ‘Can You Hear Me Now?’ and ‘Rest Assured’ to have the The Priory walls shaking. Let’s pack the venue out and give these boys the full Glasgow gig experience!
